The first pony, and every first after
The pony who taught you to sit a spook, the first hack you managed confidently, the small success nobody photographed. Write down what it took to get there, as well as the date. A first-pony keepsake can honour the patient teacher behind a rider’s growing confidence.
Keep a favourite photograph alongside a little note in your own words. Children might choose a drawing, a rosette or a story about their pony’s habits; the memory need not centre on winning.
